The Annual Exhibition 14-16th February 2007

As usual, the Wednesday evening sees the interclub Digital Print competition, judged this year by Richard Spears from the Northern Federation. On Thursday the interclub Slide knockout competition will be judged by Malcolm Kuss from the Midland Counties Federation. As a change from the usual lecture presentation, on the Friday, and in an endeavour to attract more of the local populace we have organised a musical evening – Music at an Exhibition. This will feature Poynton Male Voice Choir before the interval and Hawk Green Brass Band after the interval.

As a further incentive for a good audience we propose to offer prints for sale on the Friday evening – they can be removed by the purchaser at the end of the concert on the Friday. The Friday tickets will be in the form of a special programme/catalogue which will indicate the price of the print (else say NFS if the print is not for sale). To make it easier for all it is suggested that authors will choose to price their prints in the range £10 to £40 in £5 increments. The club will take a commission, and will provide a selling desk and numbered “sold” stickers.

The raffle helps ensure we don’t make a loss on the event. Members are encouraged to each provide a raffle prize (bottles; unwanted Christmas presents; you all know the sort of thing required). Copies of the rules for the Annual Exhibition are now available (on the NCPS web site, and in paper form). It is important that entries are legible (preferably typed) with the category and competition number clearly indicated. Last year we had to guess the exact title of some images as we couldn’t read all of the badly printed words. It is likely that we will not be able to show all of the prints again this time, so be sure to put your prints in order of importance to you. We will wish to exhibit all prints which get a commendation or above.
